The efforts of Stormstead citizens to complete their ship have met up with sabotage once again. Though not serious in nature, once again there are setbacks to delay ship completion. These setbacks sorely felt as more time and energies must be devoted to clean up the mess and gather more supplies.
Hand Crafted’s monthly work party met at the ship on Wednesday night to find that the tools had been scattered and the buckets of pitch poured into the soil. Stormstead was fortunate in the volunteers that appeared for they were able to patiently comb the waters and the depths of the bog to retrieve the tools which of themselves would have been a most serious loss.
But that was not to be all. On Friday morning a foul and cloying stench circled the ship and even the mysts seemed to hang heavy. Closer inspection showed a mess of eggs and other organic matter coated the framework of the vessel and a scourge of fire ants which had evidently been attracted to the food source.
Security has been heightened but information is being sought. The Shipwright Langston has been unavailable. This second act against the ship confirming the believe that someone or something is wishing to delay ship’s progress or eliminate it altogether. The damage thus far has been relatively light and easily repairable. But what comes next? We must be vigilant. Who would wish to see the ship’s efforts fail? Who would benefit from such an act? The questions continue to circle.
All villagers are asked to stay alert. Those that are able asked to guard and watch the ship when they can. Report any strange occurrences or happenings to the Stormstead Council.
